San Miguel Lions Club Fish Fry is back! Beginning Friday, Feb. 24 and continuing for 7 Fridays, you can purchase a fried fish dinner, freshly prepared by Lions at the San Miguel Community Building in the alley of the park. By purchasing a dinner you will support their project to keep summer swimming pool available to children for free. Dinners are available from 4-7pm. each Friday for $10. This takes place at the Senior Center on 12th St. from 7:30 am until 8:45. Physician's Assistant Jennifer Holohan, PA-C will return to provide primary care services on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30—5:30 (closed 12:30-1:30 for lunch), and on Fridays from 8:30-12:30pm. The San Miguel Library is located at 254 13 th Street next to the baseball diamond. Open hours are 12 to 4 Tuesday, 11am to 4 Wednesday, and 12 to 6pm Thursday. The Native Daughters of the Golden West Student Art Contest 2012-----The NDGW, San Miguel Parlor 94, in conjunction with the statewide NDGW, is sponsoring a student art talent contest to encourage the interest of students and the general public in the historic and natural wonders of California. The theme is teamwork. Open to all students in grades 9 thru 12 in any school in San luis Obispo County. The subject must be an original depiction of a California landmark, native plant, wildlife, event or people that are part of California history. Deadline to enter is April 1, 2012 at 5:00PM.
